Cleric Spells

for my cleric it usually looks like this

0 lvl: clean (relics and rituals), I fill every 0 level slot with clean

1st: bless, protection from evil, divine favor
used to have shield of faith in there but finally permed it on myself

2nd: hold person, remove paralysis, endurance, owl's wisdom

3rd: wind wall, magic circle against evil, prayer

4th: death ward, dimensional anchor, freedom of movement, castigate, and recitation

a lot of buff spells and other important things like greater dispel magic and all he also prepares but you asked for 1st-4th and I threw 0 level in there for free =op

I never play clerics at all so I am not capable of saying what my favorite spells are. (I know what is effective from being in parties with clerics, or DMing clerics, however.)

This is the cleric I'm am planning on playing. He is slightly atypical. He's a cleric of the philosophy of Pacifism, domains of Protection and Magic. He doesn't use weapons, or damage foes. I want his stats to be in this order: Wisdom, Constitution, Charisma, Intellegence, Dexterity and Strength. I'm going to give him an animated tower shield and these spells:

1 Sanctuary, Shield of Faith, Prot from Evil
2 Shield Other, Endurance
3 Dispel Magic, MC against Evil
4 Dismissal

Feats: Spell Focus (Abjuration), Greater Spell Focus (Abjuration), Heighten Spell

I realize that these feats are sub-optimal. I don't really care. I want to memorize heightened sanctuaries with +4 to the DC. (Also, I'm going to try to convince my DM that Spell Focus--abjuration should apply to the caster level check on Dispel Magic) *grin*

Besides, I'm eventually looking forward to Repulsion. ;)

The Contemplative PrC fits the concept I have in mind for this character. (Although I may not go that way so I can keep my turn undead ability.)

This character does not mesh with a typical party. (Imagine having a Frenzied Berserker along. *grin*) However, my RPing group tries to work together towards party unity. It doesn't always happen, but that's because we're human. (At least most of are. One guy in our group is Satan. I know because he is the most unassuming person ever. No one would ever suspect that he was really the Devil himself. But I know better... Mwahahahaha!!!) :)
