I mean, it is a dwarven thrower after all and PBS would give you +1 to hit and +1 to damage within 30 feet.

Useless once 3.5 comes into effect. If the DM stays with a 3.0 campaign, then it'll be fine.

He's got a Charisma of 10, dude. This is bad, bad news for turning, and he should just play to his strengths rather than shoring up the weaknesses.
