Clockwork Mage/Artificer Class Request

Does anyone have a good Clockwork Mage/Artificer Class they are willing to share? If not does anyone know a good sourcebook that has one?

I'm starting a new campaign and these guys are a major faction. I'm too lazy to make my own so I figure I ask around first.

Gnome Artificer, in Magic of Faerun, just take away the racial requirement, or change them around to suit ur world.

Dragonlance, 2E

I remember there being an artificer of some kind in 2nd edition Dragonlance that was really cool. It had various subjects to pick from: hydrodynamics, thermo, etc. and they could build machines and the like. Anyone remember this?

Are you refering to the tinker gnolmes? also there was an Al Quadim artificer in 2e

So far I found:
2 artificers in the Netbook of Classes
1 artificer in Sorcery and Steam
1 tinkering class in Warcraft RPG

..and none of them are what I am looking for. Since someone mentioned the Al Quadim Artificer. I'm looking for the clockwork mage that was found in that tome converted to 3e.

I should probably have stated it better. I'm looking for a class that can build constructs (clockworks) and "tinkered items". The class would also have rules on how to build clockworks.

The closest thing I have found is the Mechanician at: http://66.34.111.89/Eric/conversions/mechanician.rtf
… and it is very close to what I want but not quite it. It also just does not seem balanced.

I know there was a Netbook of Tinkering at one time but that seems to have disappeared.

Yea, I know I'm demanding.

Does anyone else have any more ideas?

you may just be better off converting the 2e Al Quadim version to suit your needs
