Clone: OUCH!

We just have it require a sample of blood.

My current DM had some encounter once (not in our current game) where the PCs were attacked with strange hollow-tipped spears. They attacked, and then fled.

Then, back at the lab, they used the chunks of flesh to make clones of all the PCs.

That's very devious. That way, if the PCs ever die, they wake up in the villain's secret laboratory with all memory of recent events wiped away! So much for having them raised!

Hmmm. If someone has a clone in stasis (made by an enemy somewhere), what happens if someone else tries to clone you later? Upon dying, will you join the "latest" clone?

What an evil thougt.
My PC are just fighting aggainst a lich. They are searching for his lair and did kill some of his Minions. He is the BBEG.
But in two or three game sessions I (the Lich) will attack em with "hollow-tipped spears" and then end the game session.
The next game session will be :
Bad awakening in the lab of the Lich.
- strapped to a table and some ugly knifes on the board
The just got a SECOND (What happend to the first?) chance to battle him.
And it will be a great adventure to find out what happend with their last body.
How they battled the Lich and lost their life.

Viele Dank Die_kluge

Well, you're welcome, but you'll have to thank my current DM. Though, he doesn't post here. I'll have to tell him you liked his idea.
