I think I finally understand the non-lethal damage. Even though the dragon has lethal natural attacks, it is trying to hold instead of damage. I will have to edit to indicate that the damage suffered is non-lethal. Thanks.
Keep in mind that this is a debated rules point. I think Gansk clarified his stance, though, and I agree with him. The alternative that people put forward is that creatures with natural weapons can use those natural weapons as grapple checks. I.e. a medium dragon with 5 attacks (bite/claw/claw/wing/wing) could make 5 opposed grapple checks (normal attack bonus as a touch attack) and deal natural weapon lethal damage for each opposed grapple check made. This has no basis in the rules IMO, but I'm sure there are many threads on this topic. :)

OOC Hello, everyone. Gansk is gone, so if someone could please post as Neutral in the Mechanus Arena, that would be great. The legendary wolf is from Monster Manual II. My guess is it will flee when it realizes its bites go right through its opponent.

One more rules point Gansk pointed out to me today: an incorporeal creature cannot go into solid matter deeper than its size. This means it has to be no farther than five feet away from exiting solid matter. Apparently, this rule exists so that wraiths and such cannot go straight through a planet.

My list is shorter if I say what I do have:
MM
MM2
Fiend Folio
XPH
BoVD
Libris Mortis

I wish I didn't have the Creature Catalog, but, what cha gonna do? Guess I should be happy I'm in so many combats.

Thank you for letting me know. I agree about the Creature Catalog. I cringe every time I have to look at what monster comes next and it has (CC) next to it.

Dare I ask if there have been any established rules for recovering spent missile weapons? :)

Most of Paulina the pixies have hit and I'm not sure if its worth having the arena worry about the misses.

According to the PHB, any arrow that hits is automatically destroyed, whereas one that misses has a 50% chance of being lost or destroyed. However, it doesn't give any details about where the surviving arrows can be retrieved. Perhaps the local Lost & Found.

So far spent missiles have not been requested too frequently in TBoAA. I can only remember it being requested twice, but it could have happened more.

For now, how about one fourth of the arrows that missed (round up if at x.5 or x.75)are still on the battlefield, instead of being shot out of the arena or broken? I will have to keep track in the future, if requested. You still have to pick them up.

In Paulina's case, we can just say that the misses are directly below where she fired them from, just to make it simple.

Sounds like a good rule. Now that the vulture gained some altitude, we'll see if the sleep arrow works. Otherwise it's going to be a invisible sword vs. claws and beak fight soon no matter what.
