Piper, the satyr with the pipes, clamps his right hoof onto the floor and slaps his knee, almost doubling over in laughter. He calls out loudly, in Sylvan, "Did he just say 'behoove'?"

Pip resists the poison again! (Rolled 17 Fort save)
Nothing appears to enter from the arena, but Pip hears something running at it from the east. Suddenly he sees disturbances in the air at 90N40E and fires. The arrow goes long.
Pip has heard of a plant with a greater invisibility property called a phantom fungus. Based on how slow the creature ran, he suspects that he is facing one.

Pip gulps, fearing that this fight might not go so well. Ranged weapons will likely not help. He shifts the bow to his off hand and picks up the dagger. If he still has time (depending on how you rule the shift of the bow), he will ready to headbutt any who attacks him, shifting his dodge to the unseen opponent.
Pip mutters such a venomous epithet that even the CE crowd blinks in annoyance.

Pip hears the thing step to the north.
Round 222: Pip head butts for 6 and resists the centipede's poison! The fungus has 8 hp left.

Round 223: Pip misses, fungus bites for 1. Pip has 4 hp left. Pip sees it at 95N5E.
Round 224: Both miss, Pip resists! Pip hears it to the north.

Pip was awesome! It's remarkable he made 7/8 poison saves with that Fort modifier!

A small humanoid moves to 35N5E. He has pallid skin, a large nose, and sinister eyes beneath his hairy brows. He has hooves instead of feet and is completely dressed in black, including a cloak and a turban. He wears leather armor and wields a dagger.
Saying something that translates to "Two can play this game.", he envelops himself in his cloak and his square is filled with shadowy darkness.
The fungus is currently at 90N5E.

Not particularly well known for his intelligence, Fanny the phantom fungus hustles to 50N5E. Fanny says something in plant-speak, but it's so garbled it's unintelligible. It must be due to reverberation off all those nodules.
