CN vs. N: Chaotic Neutral Victorious!

She moved southwest first so that she would not crash into Marty. I am not counting movement on the ground as part of minimum forward speed. The way she is flying, it is evident that she does have a minimum forward speed, which she is adhering to.

Ethel bites Marty (rolled 24) for 10 points of damage. Marty is dying.

Chaotic Neutral applauds Marty's introduction of five fog banks into the arena.

Ethel is at 35N0E20Z, flying north, with 135 HP remaining.

Next in round 687 for Chaotic Neutral is a young adult sand dragon (Sandstorm). Gansk has the stats for Ethel, so he will take over this arena.

Sandy V flies into the arena at 20N and breathes up at Ethel and then continues her movement to 20N65E heading NE (if breath recharges in 1 or 2 rounds) or to 10N15E-15Z (if breath recharges in 3 or 4 rounds) -- assuming she knows when her breath recharges.

Round 687

Ethel dodges the sand blast (rolled 28 Ref) and takes 13. She has 122 hp left.

Sandy can breathe again in round 691. She doesn't necessarily know that, but it is easier to post the round in advance so we don't have to remember offline.

Sandy had to move to enter the arena, then take an SA to breathe. She can't move again unless she was using Flyby Attack, which means she has to keep flying, not burrowing.

Given that, what is Sandy's ending position?

I checked the Draconomicon, and it is correct that dragons do not know in advance when they will be able to use a breath weapon again, although each round they can tell if they can use it. I have been playing it incorrectly until now, but I do not think it has made much difference.

Sandy enters a solid fog (centered at 40N50E) at 20N30E and lands.

Round 688: Ethel flies to 35N25E20Z and hovers.

I assumed she had enough movement to fly around the solid fog, but I wasn't specific about her path and I suppose she had yet to realize what the fog really was (not having Spellcraft). No big deal, Sandy will burrow underneath the ground and pop up at 75N15E in Round 691 and ready to breathe if/when Ethel comes into range.

Round 690: Sandy burrrows. Ethel flies to 40N105E20Z and hovers.

Round 691: Sandy pops up at 75N15E. Neither dragon sees the other.

A draw is declared at the end of round 692.

Round 693: A 36 foot tall ice statue moves to 100N90E.
