[CoC] Chaiosium keeps the d20 ball rolling in the amazing new Arkham supplemental!

Thanks, Shaper, and thanks to Chaosium for re-supporting what was from Monte Cook and John Tynes an awesome version of the game.

It is my understanding that Chaosium's COC d20 books are marketed as dual-stat books, containing both d20 and BRP material.

Question: Does it seem as if Chaosium's COC d20 books are d20 books only as an afterthought?

What I mean is: I recently purchased the d20 Keeper's screen, which included the Lost Temple of Yig scenario. The d20 stats and system implementation for the Lost Temple show only a minimal familiarity with the d20 System.

I can see why someone would think this with the adventure in the Gamemaster's Pack and to a lesser extent, Dunwich, but in the new Arkham supplement, I think Chaosium has listened to the criticism and really made an effort to put their best foot forward to satisfy d20 CoC fans. The d20 treatment is vastly improved, and it goes from a simple "afterthought" conversion to a set of useful new tools.

Joe hit the nail on the head with this response. When I bought Arkham I was hoping for it to be better than what else they have put out for d20 bits. It was and above what I expected from them (granted the d20 character stats are still in the back of the book, but as I said above they now come with better stats and discriptions so less flipping is involved).

Now remember that this is still just a reprint of a BRP with d20 materials added, but they just added them in there much better than they did before.
