[CoC/Dragonstar] A match made in hell

Anyone else using the GOOs and othe rMythos things in their Dragonstar game? The Dragon Empire running into a long imprisoned alien demigod on some isolated planet in the Outlands, insane cultists working against the Unification Church, maybe drop the PCs on Carcosa and meet the King in Yellow? Awesome stuff.

And I'm using DragonStar, which has DnD in it...

Yep. I'd say it works great, but I've noticed a lot of the CoC monsters as written don't have energy resistance, which tends to make them blaster fodder. I may need to change that.

Actually, I'm running Dragonstar characters through a modified version of RttToEE using CoC monsters and replacing Tharizdun's prison with the CoC crew and the Far Realm. Its a lot of fun, and the characters are really frustrated with their sanity slipping away (despite their D&D wierdo sanity loss reduction). The PCs have already set Yog-Sothoth loose on the Dragon Throne World - on purpose! The PCs weren't great fans of the Dragon Empire, but now they realize the magnitude of their mistake, and want to stop the rest of the Old Ones from being released.

Well, if you follow his Carcosa idea, Chosen of Hastur do.

I've been pretty hooked on these combinations myself. CoC+Far Realms+Alienists is an obvious combo. RttToEE and Tharizdun can be easily combined with anything CoC style as well. Moving this into the cool setting of Dragonstar is simply the icing of a very well-made cake
