Calach rushes to Velious's side, examining the elf to see if he can revive him in anyway. The crystal has since been tucked into the young man's belt pouch.

"Well, you don't see that everyday," says 'eezer wryly. He looks back at the crumbling (crumbled?) tower to see if there are any clues he can mine out of the remains.

Calach quickly realizes that Velious simply needs rest, but that a quick pressure point manipulation can get him on his feet for a few minutes to get them all to a safter, and quieter, location.

A small crowd is gathering around different focii, like singularities on the quad gathering witnesses on the event horizon. The goblin supporting the 'forged, and Calach treating a recovering Velious, with Aalin looking on gather their own coronas.

'eezer, as always, slips into the crowds. Proactive, never reactive, right?

A middle-aged human woman in simple gear approaches the goblin and forged and speaks to them for a moment. The goblin shakes his head and yells at her. She then walks over to Calach, Aalin and Velious.

"My patron would like to offer you refuge in exchange for your story. Are any of you interested?" she states calmly and placidly.

Calach blinks. "Your patron would like to offer us refuge in exchange for our story?" He seems a bit surprised or confused by the offer and looks towards Aalin.

Aalin meets Calach's eyes and shrugs slightly. "Refuge from what?" she mutters.

Standing, she faces the woman. "Who is your patron, and what is his or her interest in our story?"

"My patron wishes to remain anonymous at this time. The interest lies in getting your story before any other source corrupts it, whether for good intentions or bad. Of course, the real interest lies in discovering what led to that tower crumbling, what energies or mysteries revealed within that tower that left you four and those two alive, and exactly what was so interesting or powerful to keep you in there for those two days ..."

'eezer notices one thing about the crumbled tower parts that he investigated rather quickly. They, in a confounding way, are shadowless, and crumble at the touch no matter the apparent strength or girth of the block.
