Cohort

My character needs a cohort at level 16, for a long champaign, and I need some ideas on what to choose. I was thinking psion12/monk4 but i dont know what feats, skills, and items to choose from, if you have any ideas for classes and the such.

You do realize that, even without taking into account that you're a GOD, with one feat, Epic Leadership, and a Charisma of 30 (which is quite low considering that you're quite epic and a sorceror 14), that you could get a cohort level 38 ?

I am not quite ready to get into a discussion on how to better optimize such a cohort. Also take into account that for a while, after each fight of your ECL, your 38th level cohort will possibly gain a level...

Now that's not nice.

There is a remote possibility that the OP is quite serious (in fact, we have to assume he is) and he simply plays a game slightly different than what is mainstream.

Gods have feelings too, you know...

Don't pay attention to Dr. Awkward Bryin.

By the way Bryin, I feel your character is very suboptimal. Just slapping in there two levels of paladin would greatly enhance your character. Adding so many sorceror levels to wizard feels like such a waste of levels.

If you're going to powergame, go all the way !

And I'm serious. The highest game I DM'ed, it was a solo campaign with a 57th level character. You Are Not Alone.

But seriously, if you're going to play at that level, isn't it about time go get a solid grasp of the art of character building. I mean, if you're going to put together a cohort to convey your divine smitey will (and by "put together," I mean fabricate from the fabric of reality using your mighty power), he'd better damn well be something special or all the other gods will s and gossip behind your back. :\

Not necessarily. It IS a game. You can do whatever you want with it, with whatever level of expertise you want to apply to it. It IS helpful to have a minimum understanding of what the mainstream version of the game is, but that's not a prerequisite to post on this board and ask for advice.

I play very closely to the rules, although like I said, I DM'ed once a solo game from level 6 all the way to level 57. Some on this board would probably smirk at me. By the same token, I'm sure there are some that would smirk at those thinking that playing above level 10 means you're a "munchkin".

There are just no rules. Any way to play the game is as valid as the next. There are just more or less mainstream ones.

I will be honest I do have many sheets for the cohort but I dont have anything to base it on. I've already used up all my ideas and I want something different. Like growing up with both demon and celestial blood but I dont have any idea how to plan that out, such as if the person's great-great-great-great-grandmother was a demon from one side and the other was a solar two generations ago. I was also thinking it being quarter slaad and the rest drow but I cant think of anyway that would work with a NG or CG alignment.
