Well, I live in Europe (The Netherlands to be exact), and for EC countries, there are indeed leveled postal rates.

I ordered subscriptions for both dragon AND dungeon sometime in september and yet have to see my first copy of either. I already mailed the servicedesk, and received a mail back that back-copies would be supplied. Nonetheless, I have yet to receive ANYTHING....

Needless to say, I am not happy.

However, I still want the product, since, especially dungeon, is one of the best/cheepest resources for adventure modules....

There was a nightmare when the last distributors for the UK and Europe fell out with Hasbro and Paizo over who owed who what (this was when Paizo took over from Hasbro as the producers of the magazines- around issue 98 IIRC).

I remember these times very well and I think back then all were very happy that the mags were going to be continued. When such a take-over occur there are always rough times. Accepted.
Problems started after I renew my subscription at Paizo for another three years. First, Paizos customer service solved this problems prompt & directly by sending out the mssing magazines directly. If you have a look at the thread I mentioned (boards seem to be up again now), you will see that I initially was even prasing Paizos cust serv for being so helpful. Things changed dramatically from end of October on, IIRC. Paizo starts to point customers with missing issues to their European distributor and stopped sending out mags directly. This became even worse in December (I am NOT talking about hte xmas break) when they stopped replying at all to emails. The only sign that soomething was going on, was a thread started by Vic Wertz, pointing at a status page of the European distributor. Well, now you could be sure that you should have received a lot of mags by now. But this did not changed the status of HAVING NO MAGAZINES!

If you are not getting new mags and you are subscibing through the place for games (who I believe even take subscriptions in Euros) then give them a call directly. I have always found them helpful and a guy called Gideon knows what he is doing.

Indeed! An email to their contact address yielded a reply with promise to send out my missing mags immediately. Paolo, Jason, Demonix and all the other folks without mags: Give this email address try:labear@theplaceforgames.com. Her name is Lorraine. Good luck!
But this should not discourage other folks who are experience delivery problems to contribute to our list. Just in case...

I've e-mailed Lorraine to see what she knows about this and if she can help out. Its crazy that we need to track down people to get hold of magazines that we have paid for already, surely its illegal not to supply the magazines or explain exactly what the problem is?

It is absolutley crazy, yes, but regarding your question if it is illegal: Maybe, but this isn't the point. To take legal actions wouldn't speed up things, will bind more capacities at Paizo to handle it (and they better invest this capacities into bringing their customer service back to the standard they had back last summer) and therefor wouldn't solve the problem. The reason I am looking for legal advise is, because I got no response from Paizo w.r.t canceling my subscription and get my money back (preferably without suffering the loss from the bad Euro / Dollar exchange rate.) I do not recommend to take any legal actions against Paizo right now. Remeber, this thread is not for causing more problems to Paizo than they already have, but to help to solve this problems.

Missing Dungeon in Denmark

I, too, have yet to receive an issue - and I ordered at Gen Con 04, dammit!

So, Amaterasu, you can count me in your tally of disgruntled subscribers.

From what I understand, one of the big problems with postal magazine deliveries to European Union countries is that there are significant differences in consumer privacy laws between the US and the EU, and that the EU Privacy Directives prevent the sort of communication between corporate elements that is needed for an efficient worldwide magazine delivery system.

Maybe European subscribers (or would-be subscribers) should buddy-up with a stateside gamer, and have that American friend buy a copy of Dungeon or Dragon (probably at a FLGS, since they get copies in earlier than subscription apparently), and just mail it over to Europe, sidestepping inconvenient corporate restrictions and having it arrive much quicker, not to mention fostering international gamer unity. Sure, it won't be very cheap, but it will probably be a lot quicker and more reliable.

It is no problem to get the mags at a FLGS here in Europe and it will be cheaper to buy them here compared to paid priority postage to get them from the US. IN the aspect Paizo is absolutely right: Ship all mags together to an European distributor is the best way to offer the mags here for a reasonable price.
But this also is not the point, because it is an option available only to new subscribers. All others have already spend their money for the mags in form of subscriptions and pay for the convenience to get the mags delivered to their doorstep. We are prepared for significant delays compared to street day in the US (4 weeks) and insufficient packaging (the mags often arrived damaged), but not for spending double money.
In the meantime Paizo posted that Customer service were not able to receive emails reporting missing issues because of a hardware problem. That can happen, granted. But it took them three full weeks to fix this after the folks started to switch from emails to posts on the cust serv board. And even on the board was not a single post from Paizo, which goes along the line: "We are sorry and will send the missing mags asap."

Folks,

If you're looking to mourn the hiatus of Undefeated

I've been hunting on the Paizo site. I can't find an announcement. My worry as a charter subscriber to Undefeated is, how many more issues will there be? I have two left in my subscription, and wonder if that subscription credit will just disappear if they're not produced.
