Combat Actions - Partial Actions? Standard Actions?

While Magus is trying to convice with math, he has forgotten about one of the laws of physics, namely the law of enthropy.

The law of enthropy says energy always degenerates into a lower state of energy and that nothing can reverse this degeneration.

Magus says, in re-cap:

A partial action=move, so a move=partial action. FALSE.

We say, in re-cap:

A partial>move, so a move (does not equal) partial action. TRUE.

Why are we arguing math and logic for rules written in the English language that the designers didn't use math and logic to create. The main driving force in the rules that they designed was game balance.

Despite Magus' attempt to break down a 6 second round into what actions you could fit into that round all of this falls down when the designers said that attacking and casting a spell aren't move equivalent actions, and that you can't take a partial action unless you are in the surprise round, readying an action, hasted or slowed. It is because of these non-mathematical overriding statements that the designers made that breaks down any mathematical attempt to analyze what goes on in a round.

If it wasn't for those statements (and the fact that allowing someone to take two partial actions in a round would be extremely unbalancing) I'd agree with you a little more Magus.
