Combat Simulators?

Clueboe

First Post
Ahoy there!
I've been working a "low-attention" play-by-post RPG, but I'm stuck on finding the ideal combat system simulator to use. I'm currently using a simulator based on Ars Magica, which works well enough but is quite easy to abuse once you learn the rules. (Since I can't post links yet, you can find the simulator by searching for "phils ars magica simulator")
I am curious as to what alternative combat simulators are out there. The particular RPG/genre it's from is not important since I can adapt it to fit my own.
My main priority for a simulator is a lack of player input to keep combat flowing smoothly. This is what makes the Ars Magica simulator effective, as it just needs players' stats/equipment to calculate the outcome.
Got any suggestions?
