Combat with Illusions

I am a 15th level Cleric with access to the Trickery Devotion feat (Complete Champion).

This allows me to create a simulacrum of my self that becomes slightly more real as I level up. Currently when I manifest it, it has shadow copies of all my gear and functions as a mixture of an unseen servant (PHB) and projected image (PHB). It has 6+my level hp and 1/2 my str score. It also has all my combat abilities but it cannot do ranged attacks or use the shadow copies of my alchemical/spell trigger items. I can cast spells and use it as the origin but if i lose line of effect it doesn't cease to exist (as per normal projected image).

My question is how do i adjudicate whether or not it gets hits in combat. During combat my AC makes it hard for the average NPC to hit me. Does my simulacrum get the same AC as me? Does it's shadowy version of my armor give it the same AC bonuses? What about magical bonuses or luck and deflection does it get those.

Do I even need to worry about the AC thing? Since it is partially an illusion can I just make it pretend like it got hit? But If I can do this then what is the point of the HP?

Now that it has my combat abilities what other uses do you see it being able to do? I'm just not sure of the best way to use it in battle now?

Nothing is written in the power description?
If it's a simulacrum it's like you without magic, if it's like a projected image the AC is 10 + size (and may be dexterity) I think.

From the SRD:
You tap energy from the Plane of Shadow to create a quasi-real, illusory version of yourself. The projected image looks, sounds, and smells like you but is intangible. The projected image mimics your actions (including speech) unless you direct it to act differently (which is a move action).

Well the thing that confuses me is the beginning of the power description it says it works like unseen servant. And that spell says "It cannot be killed, but it dissipates if it takes 6 points of damage from area attacks. (It gets no saves against attacks.)" (d20srd) but it doesn't mention if melee attacks can actually target it. And I'm not sure what this means for my simulacrum now that it can fight in combat.

Yes, very strange but even if it can attack by now the text says that it works like an unseen servant, use this rule, that's the only "physical" description you have.
