Or you could just go with PBS --> Precise Shot --> Rapid Shot and a composite long bow, which lets you add your STR bonus to damage. Requires a lot fewer feats for the same punch.

And it requires high str and dex nor does it help your sneak attack range.

Warlocks are pretty good at ranged combat as well, that doesn't mean we mention them in a thread about "how to make handcrossbows useful".
