"Come and get it" question?

The level 7 fighter power "Come and Get It" makes enemies shift towards you. Anyone that ends their power adjacent to you you can attack.

If 6 enemies shift next to me, do I get to attack them all?

Pull, not shift. Huge difference.

You have to read powers like this carefully. You Pull anyone in Burst 3 2 squares, with the condition that they must end adjacent to you. If for some reason they can't (already surrounded, hindering terrain, etc., they pull never happens). Then make a Close Burst 1 attack, i.e., everything adjacent to you.

Using medium sized creatures a flying fighter could hypothetically hit 26 creatures.

You could get eight if your foes are positioned appropriately... and by appropriately, I mean clumped up like minions.

In most situations, the most you'll pull is 4. And they're most likely going to be minions as stated above.

But that's perfect. It still feels good to be able to swing at three or so critters, but it isn't "broken." Also nice if you have a rogue nearby to grab some quick combat advantage.

I'm not sure if you use the updated version of come and get it, if you don't use it that might be the reason for your confusion.

Come and Get It (May 2010 Update)

Code:
Come and Get It Fighter Attack 7
[I]You call your opponents toward you and deliver a blow
they will never forget.[/I]
Encounter ✦ Martial, Weapon
Standard Action Close burst 3
Target: Each enemy in burst you can see
Effect: You pull each target 2 squares to a space adjacent
to you. You cannot pull a target that cannot end adjacent to you.
You then make a close attack targeting each adjacent enemy.
Attack: Strength vs. AC
Hit: 1[W] + Strength modifier damage.

Fighter in my game got 8 with it the other day, but he took an opportunity attack from one mob getting in the right spot, and some help from the bard moving another around to get it perfect :-) Still was a sight to behold. They were lower-level mobs luckily enough, I wouldn't suggest pulling 8 mobs to you if they're high level non-minions.

I love comboing Come and Get It with an action point to Sweeping Strike. It's especially nice now that I'm a Dreadnought and gain resist all 10 when I use an action point. :)
