Our next project has just been announced! And it is a bit different... but hopefully 'Totally Awesome'! Click here to learn more about the book of OSR monsters based on classic rock song titles, band names, and lyrics.

And help us decide how best to handle the book's game systems via this poll.

If you're at all interested in this project, following it on Kickstarter will help us gauge interest and answering the poll will help shape the project!

Ooh, this sounds like fun!

SONGS:

Is it too obvious to suggest Rock Lobster (B-52s)?

Beast of Burden (Rolling Stones) - not sure how "monstrous" this would be, but maybe they stampede?

Lady in Black (Uriah Heep), a ghostly apparition that when she appears might bring weal, or woe, or neither...

White Rabbit (Jefferson Airplane), another randomly-appearing creature that always leaves a trail of chaos in its wake.

BANDS:

Glass Tiger seems pretty obvious - a hard-to-see tiger made of glass or crystal.

A Flock of Seagulls (for these purposes, A Flock of Seaghouls) - marine ghouls that travel in packs.

Talking Heads could be a hydra-like monster whose main abilities are confusion, charm, and enthrallment.

Whitesnake - too easy, some sort of warm-blooded reptile that lives in snowy regions.

Rolling Stones - self-animated rocks. Again, too easy.

Beatles - huge locomotive-size beetles that club you to death with their antennae.

If more come to mind I'll post them later.

Tygers of Pan Tang
Knights of Cydonia
The Ancient Hyperzephyrians
Justified Ancients of Mu Mu
Vampire Beavers
Fine Young Cannibals
White Zombie(s)
Eagles of (the) Death Metal/Eagles of Death (Metal)
The Man on the Silver Mountain
Johnny Blade
Sound Chaser
King Crimson

Thanks all! Yep, we've got several of those in progress. For example, our Talking Heads is sort of an Vine/plant creature that absorbs its victims' bodies, leaving just the heads that get merged into it and go slightly insane.

Happy to keep hearing suggestions and see what gels!

Here's a bonus for all the great suggestions: preview art of the Talking Heads:
