Command: Die

Disrobe: ???
While potentially funtional in a very few situations, it takes like 5 minutes to put on or take off armor, and it would basically fail because it couldn't happen within the duration of the spell. This one goes right up there with "command: poop," however. :)

How about "plummet"?

Nah, that'd have the same net effect as "fall". The easiest way for the target to meet that command would be do to so in the square it's presently occupying, and I'd rule that it'd do it that way.

I've never allowed command:die in any previous edition - because the person hearing it can't tell how it is spelt. There are likely to spend a round attempting to squash red berries into their clothes.

In your game, common = english, and you check each creatures ability to spell before allowing spells with verbal commands?

Yep. English rules the multiverse. Didn't you know? Shame on you!

Disrobe probably works better with Greater Command. Miss is unbelievably cool.

If trying to take someone alive, Command: Surrender would give you a round to bind them before the spell wore off and they started fighting again.

We used to use Command a lot more in 1st Edition. One round was more useful when it meant a minute.

We've captured a goblin? Command: Cooperate! No save, and the DM starts a one minute stopwatch while we interrogate him.

But in 3E? Command: Cooperate! First, he gets a Will save, and then, the DM starts a 6-second stopwatch...

By "miss", did you mean to say that using that at a Miss Universe pageant would be unbelievably cool? If so, I wholeheartedly agree. I'd then follow it up with greater command^H, oops, better not go there. :heh:

Best (3.0) Command ever.

Evil cleric is holding unconscious ally hostage; is holding the charge on an Inflict Serious Wounds spell ready to touch the ally.

PC Cleric: /Command: "Clap"

Evil Cleric: *claps*
Evil Cleric: *fails save vs ISW*
Evil Cleric: *dies*

In "Preacher" he had the power to make anyone who understood his words obey his commands; even if they weren't physically able to do so. He could tell you to die and you would, to burn and you would, to :):):):). No, there was no word limit, nor could any creature bar a couple empowered by god himself resist.

Command: Dance!
Command: Striptease(Hmm, six seconds later, pants round his ankles...)
Command: Eat
Command: Drink(Is that a potion of Enlarge or are you happy to see me?)
Command: Urinate(Done that.)
Command: Steal (WHat? From whom)
Command: Mutilate (Eeeee)
Command: Open (Hey Ogre, see that door...)
Command: Flee! (One-round run action!)
