Commander's Strike Question

This has probably been asked before, but I've browsed through and haven't found anything.

If I use Commander's Strike, can I add the higher of my ally's proficiency bonus or mine to the roll? Like for instance if they are using a +2 prof weapon and I'm using a +3, would they get +1 to hit? In addition, if I am using a +1 weapon and they are using a nonmagical weapon, do they add +1 to hit and damage?

I'm confused because Commander's Strike has the Weapon keyword, and common sense tells me that I wouldn't add these to another person's attack, but I just wanted to be sure.

The keyword just means that YOU have to be wielding/using a weapon to use this power. Thats all.
