Compendium Update! And not just data either!

The deal about an iphone app to interface with the ddi isn't that the market isn't huge, its that the time to complete it would be very small, and it mostly leverages what's already in place (the compendium data).

At a lunch meeting I attended yesterday, 4 out of 4 game industry professionals had iPhones. (And 4 out of 4 of them appeared when mine beeped with a text message.)

In my gaming group, 3 out of 5 players carry iPhones.

This is quality market research here. Get on it, WotC!

Exactly zero of my gamer friends own iPhones, and I have two groups that meet, so out of ten... zero have iPhones. Sorry to blow the curve.

Not too shabby looking. I can't wait to try it out. For me, the log-out extension is the best new feature, since I often use it while putting my sessions together at work (stupid work interruptions :) )

As far as an iphone app goes, I don't have any gamer friends who own an iphone (I know 3 groups, including mine, totalling about 23 gamers, personally). 2 of us have blackberrys, but we dont' use them for any gaming.

I think it is big enough. I made a survey of the gamers I went out drinking with last friday. 60% had iPhones, or 3 of 5 people polled.

60%? The iPhone has a 17% market share at present, less than Motorola's RazR2. Very impressive, but not even close to 60% (which would be unprecedented).

I'd suggest your five people don't represent an adequate statistical sample. :)

I don't have an iPhone, and won't until they include proper GPS and satnav, like my current phone does.

i would love to see searchable monster images (perhaps as hyperlinks from the stat blocks), so that i can spin my monitor towards the players and let them see what they face, without worrying about covering up stat blocks.
