Complete Arcane advance info?

I may have missed the message(s); sorry.
So what's the good word on the Complete Arcane? Prestige classes? New items? Spells? Familiars?
And what subject is "arcane" modifying in the title?

It isn't. I believe it's being used the way divine is used historically as a noun, rather than as an adjective. So, one could say "I am an arcane, researching my spells here in the library" or "I must consult with one of the divines at the university".

Cheers,
Cam

Well there is another thread around here that had more stuff.. but, since I can't seem to find it, i'll just put down what i know ...

Chap 1: New/Updated Core Classes -
* warlock (Source: WotC "In the Works")
* warmage (Source: WotC "In the Works")
* wu jen (Source: WotC "In the Works")

Chap 2: Prestige Classes (19 total) -

Many of which are updated versions of the magic-slinging prestige classes you've been playing out of Tome and Blood. (Source: WotC "In the Works")

Chap 3: Feats -

Chap 4: Spells -
* defenestrating sphere (Source: WotC "In the Works")
* earthbolt (Source: WotC "In the Works")

... that's all i can recall specifically so far... i'm sure there is lots more info already made public in various places. anyone else is free to add to this.

Really, I would've though that a Bigby's defenestrating hand (or just defenstrating hand for the SRD) would've been more apt. Oh, sorry, that's telekinesis.

I'm upset. Defenestrating sphere does not defenestrate. This spell should throw people through windows, instead it hurls them up the air. To add insult to injury, there's an illo for this spell, with a spellcaster, the sphere, the victim, and tall, shiny, stained-glass windows. And the dude is, indeed, hurled vertically, while it would have been so nifty to see him flying in a rain of shattered glass through a broken window.

It's like if you had a decapitation ray spell whose effects on the target are numb-fingers and a headache. Hello? What's the relationship between the title of the spell and its effect? Or was that a bastardization of celestial, too?

From the WotC messageboard I have read a couple of threads about expected content, here copy-pasted from one:

Classes: Warlock, Warmage, spellthief

Prestige Classes: Argent Savant, Effigy Master, Fatespinner, Geometer, Initiate Of The Sevenfold Veil, Warmage, Seeker Of The Song, Wayfarer Guide, Master Transmogrifist, Wild Mage

Feats: Extra Slot, Extra Spell, Insightful, Night Haunt, Wandstrike

Spells: Bolt Of Disruption, Brilliant Blade, Defenestrating Sphere, Energy Immunity, Enhance Familiar, Familiar Pocket, Force Orb, Fortify Familiar, Heart Of Stone, Improved Mage Armor, Otiluke's Dispelling Screen, Prismatic Ray, Transfix, Unluck

Magic Items: Staff of Entrapment, Staff of Opening, Sending Stones

As you notice, the spellthief is wrong, so I am not sure how correct is the rest :) . Another thread talks about a revision of the Mindbender PrCl.

I'm really looking forward to this one, actually. Anyone have a date on its release? I keep thinking it's due any time, but it's not out yet...

I am going to be seriously cheesed if there's no "Mage of the Arcane Order" update in there.

And I wasn't even aware that defenestrate was a word.

Defenestration, to defenestrate, etc.: act of throwing someone or something out of a window. From latin de (out) and fenestra (window), through French defenestration.
