It's just WoTC seems on the true path of medicority.
Spell descriptions that are repeated in the game mechanics of the spells? Check.
PrCs that take up four to five pages? Check.
Expanded monster descriptions that take up two pages? Check.
It's like WoTC has run out of things mechanically interesting to do and is running around trying to fill that void.

Thos blips would be when WoTC does something that I'd consider out of left field like Tome of Magic or Magic of Incarnum. At this point they're release schedule seems almost painfully obvious to predict but hey, I'm always hopeful.
I see what ya mean, sad to see them go down that line.
Personally, I'd like to see a Fiendish Codex 3 on yugoloths, Book of Perfect Balance (neutral alignment book), Monster Manual 5 with more converted monsters than new ones (and more NEW monsters as opposed to rehashes from MM One), more monster-themed books (a Fey book is long overdue), and maybe a Celestial Codex? There's also a Complete Epic they should consider and Complete Incarnum, maybe, and well I can go on.
I think at this point they should concentrate more on expanding the horde of new material they came up with than to make more new material. A Tome of Magic 2 and Tome of Battle 2 that expanded upon the originals would not be a bad idea.
