Complete complete series?

Complete Monster --> The successor to Savage Species. I would not be surprised if they eventually move onto this, though they will probably come up with a different name to differentiate more from the Monster Manual... Complete Creature, perhaps.

Dunno, but then again, I'm sorta expectng something like "Complete Combatant" or "Complete Mercenary" or something along those lines, to make more combat-oriented characters. Perhaps even a "Complete Psychic" sort of book that provides rules for psionic options for a lot of the base classes, multiclassed psion/wilders, etc.

Something like "Complete Monster" would be cool, but I think the monster-oriented sourcebooks like Draconomicon & the like kinda cover this.

I'd like to see a Complete Expanded Classes, where they offer support material for all base classes introduced in the expansion books. New alternative level options, new feats, new spells for spell-lists that include Spell Compendium spells, new equipment, etc..

I always put the Book of Nine Swords in with the complete series. It probably isn't intended for that as it really isn't more completeness for fighters, et al.

I figured someone would bring up B9S, but it really doesn't fit. One characteristic of the second wave of completes is no new base classes. B9S is all about the new base classes. And while it does add stuff that a fighter (or other class) could use, the amount a non-martial adept can use is very limited: 3 manuevers and as many stances as you want, at a cost of a feat each.

B9S is a new system that can be added to the core rules. It is no more Complete Warrior 2 than Tome of Magic was Complete Arcane 2.

I'm not sure what they'd do.

We have all bases covered twice over. Maybe they'd do another Complete Warrior thing, with even more combat stuff, but that would be redundand I'd say.

How about Complete Monk? There's been some support for them, but they could possibly have their own sourcebook.

Otherwise, I'd guess that future books would be for expanded classes.

*shrugs*

Yep, the Tomes are (conceptually and in practice) a lot more "optional" than the Completes. I'd love to see another melee Complete book, especially if any new organisations would be more droppable into existing campaign worlds...

Complete Adept. Yes.

I dunno. To be serious, "Complete Monster", sort of like a 3.5 Savage Species, could be kind of cool. "Complete Expanded Classes" gets my vote, as well... simply because I love spellthieves.

And I mean LOVE... I bought Complete Scoundrel for the spellthief material... which consisted of two feats. And the DRAGON magazine that has spellthief variations is amazing.

"Complete DM" would be cool, too - prestige classes for monsters (sort of like the war chief from Mini's Handbook), Adventure Outlines (like those in the Eberron Campaign Setting) and oremade battle maps.
