Complete D&D Monster Index

[Edit: Most recent version available here.]

I think the index now covers every D&D creature that has ever been published -- from Aarakocra to Zzonga-Bush. For the 3.X monsters, the index also includes the size, type, subtypes and CR.

I hope the index proves useful, and if anyone has any corrections or additions, please let me know :).

Now THAT is an ambitious project!! :D

Thanks for sharing- I spot checked a few weird monsters, and sure enough, even the chagmat was in there!

Thank you for the effort you've put into this - it is wonderfully useful :) Just yesterday I was looking to see where the Girallon first appeared (because I'm working on Barsoom monsters, and the Girallon is a six limbed white ape ;) ). Now I know it originated with 3e I can stop wasting time searching through the earlier stuff.

Thanks again

I've just posted the latest version of my complete D&D monster index over on this thread.
Ah!!! Thanks a lot, Echohawk! Your index totally rocks! :)

For oldtimers like me it's really an indispensable tool to get more background information on certain monsters since I've got lots of supplements from all editions but can never remember where the relevant info appeared.

This is awesome! I actually just finished going through an earlier (January?) version and paring it down to 3/3.5 sources that I own or can easily acquire (the free online stuff).

Now, when are you going to finish all the OGL monster books? ;) (Actually, I'm semiserious about that. I've got alot of the OGL stuff, both pdf and print, and might be able to help out with some of the data entry if you want to include that stuff and want the help)

Excellent work!
