Complete Divine Errata Items I have found

p. 179, Scent spell

The text of the Scent spell indicates "a creature may take a partial action to note the direction of the scent.". There are no partial actions in 3.5. This probably should be a free action.

At least per my 3.0 DMG p. 81, this is a just a reiteration of the normal rules for Scent. "Noting the direction of the scent is a standard action.", etc.

And the winner is... None of the above ! ;)

3.5 SRD & DMG said:
The creature detects another creature’s presence but not its specific location. Noting the direction of the scent is a move action. If it moves within 5 feet of the scent’s source, the creature can pinpoint that source.

As you noted, the spell description is mostly a repeat of the Scent entry in the Dungeon Master's Guide. However, that particular detail was left out, as were the very useful notes on how crossing water affects the trail.

[rant on]
If one is going to repeat an easily-referenced rule section, is it too much to ask that it be repeated in full ? If the point is to avoid making the DM look it up in a another book at the table, is that not voided by failing to include all of the "master" entry ?
[rant off]

Thanks. I feel better. ;)

Last one I found in the spells

----------------------------------
p. 190, Wrack spell

The spell header reads "Area: One humanoid"; it should say "Target: One humanoid", as humanoids are targets, not areas.

Bleh. I find the lack of quality control on this book deplorable. I'm not going to return my copy, but I am going to write a note to Wizards and call them names.

Silveras, thanks for your work here!

PrC spell list errors

There were not many PrCs with unique spell lists. There are some errors in the lists, however, so here are the ones I noted:

---------------------------------------------------
p. 25, Blighter spell list

1st level, Invisibility to Animals is now Hide from Animals
2nd level, Resist Elements is now Resist Energy
3rd level, Protection from Elements is now Protection from Energy
5th & 6th levels, Harm is listed on each
6th & 9th levels, Antipathy is listed on each

--------------------------
p. 68, Temple Raider of Olidammara spell list

1st level, Invisibility to Undead is now Hide from Undead

I have been giving that some thought. Each item I posted here has been e-mailed to Wizards' Customer Service as a possible errata item, so I think they know how much attention I am paying.

For those who find some of the errors I am reporting petty, well, I was an English Lit Major; editing errors get under my skin. ;)

Hi all-
The Maelstrom spell on page 168 says Ocean 8, which as Silveras points out as missing, is most likely Water 8. Procan, God of Oceans and the Sea has Water as one of his domains.
Nope. Ocean is a domain detailed int eh Forgotten Realms Campaign settinghardcover - and Maelstrom is indeed the 8th level spell on that list. Ditto for the others Silveras desribes as attributeds to the Ocean domain.

Hi!°

2 more going with missing/wrong spells:

p. 144
Embrace the Wild - a missing spell - is listed as a ranger spell of 3rd level.

p. 105
Staff of Hunting Spirits - the Spirit Bear/Wolf might be a Phantom Bear/Wolf.

[copy] Kind regards [paste] Kind regards

I find it more than ridiculous to downgrade spells from 3.5 to 3.0 as with Divine Sacrifice and others. Just recently published to go 3.5 [BoED] and than copied/pasted to the DotF version from 3.0.

Some more items........

p. 77/78
The example given on page 77 in the right colum under "Third"....

Disciple of the Sun feat
Benefit: leftover word "get" ?????

p. 84
Spell Focus (Chaos........)
Missing descriptor [General]

p. 78
Table3-1: Nonalphabetical listing of Divine feats:

p. 78/86
True Believer: Is it a +2 or is it a +3 bonus on the save?

p. 78/80
Table 3-1, Domain Spontaneity:
Benefit: incomplete entry: missing "or prepared spell" as stated in the feat description on page 80

p. 78/81
Table 3-1, Elemental Healing and Elemental Smiting
Benefit: incomplete/misunderstandable entry: It is not the usual turn/rebuke attempt as stated in the description of the feats on page 81

p. 78
Table 3-1; Fast Wild Shape
Benefit: delete "equivalent" from "move equivalent"

p. 21
Adaptation: (see page XX) should read (see page 123)

p. 121
