Stupid making it "Bane Bow" spell and restricting it to one ranger path.

I created a 4th level ranger spell "Foebane" which would allow the Ranger to add the bane property to one of his weapons as a lesser equivalent to the Holy Sword spell of the paladin. It makes much more sense to me that it could be a generic spell and not one tied to one kind of weapon.
