Complete Divine info?

But the RPGA has said there's going to be four books.

Indeed, the RPGA seems to be confirming that there will be four Complete books. However, we know for certain there will be some (how many of them anyway??) books exclusive to races, i.e. Races of Stone. PLUS WotC has announced the intention to do environment books, with the first one focused on the arctic climes. In such a case, Complete Warrior, Divine, Arcane, and "devious-expert-rogue-type-specialists" make a good round up for the four.

How much of a stretch is it to imagine all of those wilderness focused PrCs being republished in updated form in the environment series? Makes too much sense to me. ;)

Of course, once one of those 3.0 wilderness PrCs appear in an environment-line 3.5 book speculation will run wild whether the RPGA will expand into supporting those lines of books in its campaigns.

Drezden321 posted this over in a new thread, but I wanted to cross-post it here for convenience/reference purposes. I cleaned up some of the spell- and feat-name errors he made, put a few out-of-order listings into correct alphabetical order, and added a list of core classes and spells also.

Is that any different from the list that was posted on the previous page from the same source?

<.<

Of course it is!

:D

Slightly more seriously, I'll get rid of my above post to converse space, since it's already been done. Thanks for pointing that out. :o

I hope the Favored Soul is getting an overhaul. For a long time, I've championed the mystic over the FS, so to see FS reprinted (generically) means I'll take another look at it. Here are my hopes..

Wisdom OR Charisma. Pick one.

More sane saving throws

Removal of deity weapon focus/spec for perhaps some bonus feats (why would the FS of Boccob give his Favored Wpn Spec Staff again?)

Wings as part of an an optional suite of divine poweups.

Thats my wish list.

Don't expect to see the Favoured Soul changed at all. Why should it be? It was first published in a 3.5E product; it is being presented again in a book where more people can see it.

Cheers!

I tend to expect that you will be correct.

As to why it should be modified, I already spoke of that in earlier posts. Some of the elements of the FS are too close-ended.

There's nothing particularly unusual or broken with classes that rely on multiple ability scores. Of the 11 PHB core classes, how many only really rely on one 1 ability score? How many really need 3 or more to be effective? In fact, I think it would be an interesting idea for all divine spellcasters to use both Wisdom and Charisma. Considering that divine spellcasters have so many advantages over their arcane counterparts, there should be some aspect that's more demanding.

Hey, these guys are blessed. ;) They trade the ability to turn undead in for a good reflex save. No biggie.

Agreed. While all deities have a favored weapon--basically because their union bylaws require it--some of them clearly hedged the mandate by opting for weapons that downplay any emphasis on martial attributes.

Wings as part of an an optional suite of divine poweups.

Definitely. And for pete's sake, give them that suite before 17th level. At 17th level, the ability to fly is a bit passe'. If anyone at that level of power and affluence truly wants wings grafted to their backs, they probably don't need a class ability. :)
