This is an absolutely fascinating article on video game addiction. All in all though, I thought the most interesting bit was talk on a new game competition stadium.

No different than auto racing and other sports, eh?

I also noticed they were talking about "matches" and regular breaks. They are talking about shooters. It's not just MMORPs being looked at for overuse and health problems related to that.

Stories like this make some of the ideas in The Matrix seem possible. Given the chance, many of these are probably the people that would gladly jack in for life.
