[Conan] Saga of the Ages 1: A Cat in the Dark

Thorkin gives the creature a savage chop, and nearly severs the spider's gruesome head. Santoro dives in and plunges his dagger into the loathsome arachnid, which oozes black blood. Balavous scans the rocks, and takes note of a disturbance in the air...

"So, rotten dogs", says the shadowy Drusus-thing with the burning eyes, "Who was it who sent you here, that wretched pig Tiberio?"

Thorkin Bearkiller

Thorkin kicks the spider thing for good measure and then looks to the Drusus-thing to say "What matter is it too you dog? You are about to die... the only name ye need to know is mine... Thorkin... now you die!" and when he can Thorkin will charge the 'thing' (hoping against hope that he can make his Will save vs. terror ;))

[occ]not sure how far away it is, can Thorkin charge it this round? If he can... [/occ]
Charge attack, Power Attack -2 to hit, +2 to Damage; Attack roll +7 +2 for Charge, damage 1d12 +7, Parry DEF =16 this round
[occ]if he can't charge he will double move toward the creature and get it next round![/occ]

Even if it is Tibero....What matter to one who is soon to be destroyed! Back to the Hells with you fiend!
Balavous noting that his friend is charging looses 2 arrows at the undead fiend.

Thorkin runs at the undead form at full speed, his steel blade pointed at the figure. Drusus catches a glancing blow from the Vanir. Balavous lets fly two arrows, both of which strike home. Santoro circles around to face Drusus' back.

Drusus sneers at the three men, and lets loose two blows against Thorkin, both of which connect...

Lightly Wounded = 75% health or above

Everyone succeeded their Will vs. Terror check. Santoro can try for the stab next round.

[occ]does this mean that Thorkin is under the affects of "Crimson Mist"? If so yippy :)[/occ]

A terrible rage comes over Thorkin as he yells "I will cut ye down like the dog that you are... I will boil ye down and sell yer bones to women to make fine combs with..." (etc.) as he chops at the fiend again!

(if under the affects of Crimson Mist; +4 STR, +4 CON, +2 Will saves, -2 DEF...lasts 8 rounds)power attack +2 damage -2 attack; Attack bonus +9, if he hits damage 1d12+9; +10 temp Hit Points; DEF Parry 16, Dodge 12

Noting that his compainions are engaged in hand to hand, Balavous quickly slings his bow, arming himself with his axe and shortsword.(as shooting would probably be a bad idea now!)

OOC: bones to make fine combs??? ewww to bad the undead don't have fat because I hear that makes good soap for the wealthy... :D

With a mighty roar, Thorkin chops at the undead creature. With a cry, the Drusus-thing falls back a bit. Balavous rushes in, axe and sword at the ready, but misses with both. With a mighty lunge, Santoro's blade flashes into Drusus' back, and the thing cries out again. It strikes out at Thorkin, connecting twice, and though the barbarian winces with pain, he presses on...

Lightly Wounded = 75% health or above
Moderately Wounded = 50%-75% health
Severely Wounded = 25%-50% health
Critically Wounded = less than 25% health

Count Drusus of Vendishan: critically wounded

Thorkin: moderately wounded
Santoro: unhurt
Balavous: unhurt

I went ahead and did Santoro's backstab this round since he declared it last round. It was a real lifesaver - a critical! Between this and Thorkin's fear-induced rage, you have Drusus whittled down pretty good.

Circling around trying to keep the thing occupied and also out of Thornkins reach Balavous contiues to strike with his axe and sword.

Thorkin Bearkiller

Thorkin, his eyes red with rage, continues to chop at the Duke Deamon! "Back to the cold pits of hell with ye creature! Yer mother is calling ye home dog!!"

Another power attack +2 damage -2 attack; Attack bonus +9, if he hits damage 1d12+9; +10 temp Hit Points; DEF Parry 16, Dodge 12
