The proof-reading was once again done by Mongoose's staff of drunken adolescent monkeys. (sigh)
Thanks for delurking!
The proofreading was poor, as usual for Mongoose, AEG and many other RPG publishers. We are (slowly) getting official errata for the game from Mongoose and have a thread of found errors going on on the Mongoose Conan forum. Hopefully, an official errata pdf will be released soon. None of the goofs ruin the game, and most can be common sensed into shape easily or even outright dismissed as d20 SRD "cut and paste" leftovers.
The Mongoose Conan forum has fast, friendly help for you, as well as exciting new ideas and variant rules from the fans. Mongoose has been very good at providing new free download support material, particularly various character sheets, a corrected (if still not completely accurate, but close enough) map, and fantastic NPC tables.
BTW: There are three free Hyborian Age maps (including the Mongoose one), each slightly different, with varying levels of detail, located at Scarlet-Blades.
http://scarlet-blades.com/ I prefer the third one, which is the most detailed, showing tons of cities and ruins not on the Mongoose map. The Mongoose one, however, is clean, beautifuly colored and color codes the terrain features (mountains, deserts, plains/steppes, etc.)---something the other maps completely fail to do.
