For some reason this thread made me wonder if (as a house rule of course) two friendly casters could "trade off" concentration on a spell (grasping the threads of the magic weave away from your ally). Good use for an Arcana check.
Of course the caster receiving the spell should be high enough level to use the same slot that was expended, and you should probably have disadvantage on the check to take over a spell that is not on your class's spell list, but the rule of cool is telling me this should be a thing.
