Concerning the Divination Spell

Enceladus

First Post
The cleric in my party is about to approach the level of cleric to where he will be able to use the divination spell. What I'm looking for is a way to provide useful information in a cryptic mysterious way. I want him to be able to come to his own conclusions on how to prepare for things with the information that I provide without me giving a list or rundown of spells etc. I'm somewhat lacking in this area  and need some help to keep it interesting, not boring etc..

Any advice? Thoughts? Help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

Decide what information you wish to give out based on the spell and the way it is used, then pull out a thesaurus and use similar words that aren't dead ringers for the actual information. You can also develop some history for your setting so that a certain event from the past is synonymous with a course of action or result, I.E. Custar's Last Stand might equal over confidence against over-whelming odds leading to failure. The second method would require the diviner to possibly do some additional research after getting the cryptic answer or proceed in ignorance.
