Confused about Psionic PrC HPs

First Post
Just got the expnaded Psionics Handbook and something is confusing me.

Psion D4 hps per level just like a wizard.
Psychic Warrior: (Fighter/MU equivalent) D8 hp per level and equivalent to classes like the Spellsword or Bladesinger
Monks: d8 hps
Fist of Zuoken, basically a Monk/Psychic Warrior....d6 per level!? What is the logic in this, in having a PrC that combines abilites from two classes that have the same HD, having HD that are less than the two? Isn't that like having a Fighter/Paladin Prc that gives d8 hps? Has this been fixed in an errata I have not heard about? Just really strange to me.

They need not take anything but monk levels, so it may just be what they felt was balanced. In a certain light, they could be called monk/psions just as easily as monk/psychic warriors. I could see why loading up a monk class with psychic warrior powers and their hit dice could be seen as potentially unbalancing; what would be left for the psychic warrior, which has the same BAB?

Perhaps they felt that combining the monk's AC bonus with things like ectoplasmic armor, force shield, thicken skin and defensive precognition could make a too durable character.
