Confusion! Different results depending upon Builder

I can't figure out why I'm getting two different results from the two versions of Character Builder. I'm working with an 11th level elf ranger with a +2 greatbow and a 23 DEX; in the "classic" (offline) version of CB the basic attack is 1d12 + 14; in the new (online) version, the basic attack is 1d12 + 12.

Now unfortunately I can't see the breakdown in the new CB, but in the old there is a 6 for DEX, 2 for Feat (Focus), 2 for Enhancement, and 4 for miscellaneous...I can't for the life of me figure out what that 4 is. What is "miscellaneous"? What could it be?

What's even more confusing is I'm not even sure how the new CB gets the +12. I assume the 6 for DEX is included, the 2 for the Feat, 2 for the Enhancement...but what is that last 2 for? Is it MISC? Then what?

That 2 is probably proficiency. The misc.. i couldn't say without seeing the rest of the build.

Isn't proficiency only attack? So that doesn't explain it. What fits into the Misc category?

What are the rest of the feats and items? It's possible that there is a power bonus involved.

Bracers of the Perfect Shot or Bracers of Archery, I would assume. They both give a +2 item bonus to damage. Bow Expertise feat would also give a (situational) +2 damage (untyped).

My guess is that it has to do with items, feats or paragon paths. I threw together a quickie 11th-level Elf Ranger with 23 Dex, Weapon Focus (Bow), Greatbow Proficiency, a +2 Magic Greatbow, and everything else pretty much random, and I get a d12+10 for the ranged basic attack damage.

I'm betting you have Bracers of the Perfect Shot (+2 to damage rolls with ranged basic attacks for the heroic tier version; +4 for the paragon tier version).

OK, that's it - Bracers of Archery. And the difference between the two is that the new CB correctly had the Heroic version (+2) while the old CB had the Paragon version (+4).
