Confusion spell

Oryan77

Adventurer
The spell description says "Any confused character who is attacked automatically attacks its attackers on its next turn, as long as it is still confused when its turn comes".

So if 2 characters are confused and one of them ends up attacking the nearest creature which happens to be the other confused character, the other character attacks him back on his turn right?

The confused character doesn't have to actually hit the other confused character, he just has to attack him? When this happens, it will cause both characters to just attack each other back and forth until one is dead or the spell wears off, right?

Speaking of confusion...can you empower confusion so that the results are weighted towards "attack nearest target"? After all, it is a variable, numeric effect...

I don't see it as a numeric effect. "Attacks nearest target" is the effect, "89" or whatever is just the die roll to get that effect.
