For those wondering just what :)

From the Necromancer Games Website
www.necromancer.com

Feruary 7: Necromancer Games is proud to announce the future publication of the Creature Catalog, a compilation of converted monsters and creatures by Scott Greene, the Necromancer Games content editor.

The Creature Catalog is a massive conversion project containing hundreds of First Edition creatures, as well as many new ones. To sample some of the works, visit the Creature Catalog website. More specific information will be released in the future, but both the creature and page count should be well into the hundreds!

First, let me say congradulations on getting published, I can appreciate how difficult it is to get recognised in this industry unless one works really hard. Although I wonder if the visitors to your site arn't ending up the loser in this deal.

Don't get my wrong, I really and trully am glad for you guys.

And I know, the fact that you provided this site all this time with no cost, is a service to us. But the fact remains that if I had downloaded your website 2 or 3 weeks ago, rather than visiting it on the internet all the time, I'd have saved quite a bit of cash. I understand that you are going to include monsters that weren't on the website, but at the very most we are talking, what, 50% of the book?

I'm not sure, maybe I'm just misunderstanding the 'press release', I'm just getting the impression that most of this book was already "published" on your website. (I don't know if putting material on a website is exactly published per say, but I'm sure you know what I mean.) Maybe I would be more enthusiastic if I had more of an idea of how much of this up coming book is going to be new, before I decide to spend my $30 or what ever the cost is going to be. Because lets face it, for those people out their who actually downloaded all the creatures off of your website, may be happy for your success, but they might not be to interested in buying the book if only say, 25% of the creatures are new.
