A Title Much Cooler Than Anything on the Old Site
I am not familiar with all of the products that were nominated, but I felt that Volos was an exceptionally good product and am very surprise to not see it nominated for anything.

On the other hand, I don't take these things too seriously. The main reason I even read the nominations and winners is that it may give me ideas of new products to try that I might not have thought about otherwise.

I think at this point though, LotFP stuff and related supplements have stopped being "indie"
LotFP is literally one guy: James Raggi.

The fact that he puts out the best-looking books and they win lots of awards doesn't mean he's suddenly not indie.

Indie is not a synonym for "bad".

TimeWatch is up for Best Game and Product of the Year, with Book of Changing Years up for Best Writing, and I'm flabbergasted. Very, very grateful.

You could fill entire threads with hundreds of posts of people arguing about the definition of "indie." Instead, it's possibly better to suggest that James has had remarkable mainstream success with LOTFP and his published backlist is on shelves alongside products put out by many other companies.

Also, "remarkable mainstream success" is kind of a low bar in some cases given how this isn't exactly an industry that makes people millionaires.

Cheers,
Cam

Also: hooray for Best Writing and Best Production Values nods for Unknown Armies! We're all very happy to be recognized for that here at tiny little Atlas Games.

Morrus , John Harper's Blades in the Dark not eligible this year?

I’ve no idea offhand. You’d have to look at its release date and the 2017 submission period. There’s a link to a list of all submitted products at the bottom of the article
