A fan run database to hold all of the submissions is actually a darned good idea I should think. Each one could be given a few key words for searching.
Search: flying islands demon invasion
Search: bronze age low magic
Search: post-apocalyptic dead gods
etc...
If several thousand entries were submitted (and people could also continue to add new ones for fun) it seems like it would be a pretty useful idea mine.
