Orc-inFested, not Orc invested.
My mistake. I cleared it up above.
I like some of these ideas so far. What we really needs are some good one-two punch kinds of ideas. I was thinking after we "stole" an orc and charmed / questioned it to our hearts content we could write a mock letter in the orc tongue to the goblin tribe. Something along the lines of a peace treaty desired due to the human forces harrassing them. Then we could dump the dead body outside the caves with this note in its pocket. Plus a large torn pouch with a few gold pieces lying around (perhaps under the body).
If things go well, the goblins walk into Hamfast and begin a feud/ battle with the orcs. If the goblins lose and return to the caves (which we would secure in the meantime), we could try allying with the goblins to "overcome" the foul orcs of Hamfast. In return they could live peaceably in the caves in monster territory. And some in Hamfast.
(last resort, we could attack from defensive positions to wipe out at least one humanoid threat)
I think it's an okay idea, if perhaps a little too complex. There are too many contingencies. Also my own character would never suggest such a thing, but right now it's kill or be killed in our County.
My favorite idea is "haunting" the orcs. It may not be so practical. But I always love fun plans more than effective, but boring ones.
