Contest: Cool Cantrip Concepts

Ok you designers out there - What I want to do is see just how creative you really are. The idea here is who can come up with the most interesting Custom cantrip. The spell must be "balanced" to power level. I submit the first example - to keep the bar somewhat high (I hope) from My own Campaign.

Free Mind
Abjuration
Level: Sor/Wiz 0, Clr 0, Bard 1, Pal 1
Components: V, S, M,DF
Range: Touch
Target: Creature Touched
Duration: 1 Min/Level (D)
Saving Throw: Will Negates (Harmless)
Spell Resistance: Yes (Harmless)

This ward prevents the establishment or exercise of mental control over the warded creature while in effect. Enchantments of the (charm) and (compulsion) varieties simply do not work, and attacks such as that of magic jar are blocked. The spell however, does not dispel an effect already in place. If a target is subject to ongoing control from an outside source (eg dominate person) the effect is simply suppressed for the duration of Free Mind. Likewise, the spell does not expel a posessing life force such as that from a magic jar already in place.

Arcane Material Component: A bit of mushroom.

Permission is hereby granted to borrow/steal/use in your own campaign with the provision that you let em know where (En World) and whom (Moi) you got it from. :)

Drawing/Sketch/Living Drawing
Illusion (Figment)
Level: Sor/Wiz 0
Components: V, S, F
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Medium (100 feet + 10/level)
Effect: Visual figment over a surface that cannot extend beyond a 10-ft. cube (S)
Duration: Concentration
Saving Throw: Will disbelief (if interacted with)
Spell Resistance: No

This spell creates a 2-dimensional visual illusion as visualized by you. The illusion does not create sound, smell, texture, or temperature. You can move the image over the surface you located the illusion (within the limits of the size of the effect).

Focus: A bit of fleece.

Specter's Game
Illusion (Figment)
Level: Bard 0, Sorcerer/Wizard 0
Components: V, S
Range: 10 feet
Effect: Illusory game pieces
Duration: 1 hour (D)
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: None
The Specter's Game cantrip produces a realistic but phantasmal set of pieces for any one game of the caster's choice, at any point within range and at whatever scale the caster desires within range limits. Enough game pieces may be generated for more than one set of players, but only within the limits of this spell's range. Since they are translucent and faintly luminescent, along with giving only the slightest of tactile sensation, the game pieces are obvious works of illusion to any observer.

Specter's Game cannot reproduce complicated pieces, such as anything more advanced than a simple mechanism. The game pieces may be of any coloration or decoration the caster desires, but each type of piece must be uniform (the pieces cannot vary individually) and must conform to the standards of the chosen game, insofar as the caster knows. These game pieces function as though corporeal, and though they carry with them only the vaguest of tactile sensation, the pieces move and behave as though solid.

Once Specter's Game is cast, you cannot change the game or manipulate the number, form, size, or other properties of the pieces, only hold and move them by touch as any other player could. Anyone may handle the illusory game pieces as though they were physical objects (unless Specter's Game is cast in the Ethereal Plane, in which case the pieces are considered ethereal objects), but the pieces will not move beyond the spell's range. Illusory game boards remain in place, illusory dice shake and roll randomly as though real, and illusory cards are magically shuffled whenever a player begins to shuffle them, and so on and so forth. Being only illusions, thrown game pieces are harmless. Among the game pieces may be simple score-keeping counters.

Alter Eyes
Transmutation
Level: Bard 0, Sor/Wiz 0, Druid 0
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Touch
Effect: Change in targets eye color
Duration: 10 min/lvl
Saving Throw: Fortitude negates (harmless)
Spell Resistance: yes

The caster alters the color and/or shade of the recipients eyes by tapping said person on the forehead. This can be any color the caster can think of, even a color that would not normally be found in the race of the spells target. This confers a +1 bonus to disguise checks.

Material component: An eyelash

Home Cooking

Home Cooking
Enchantment Glamor
Level: Bard 0, Sor/Wiz 0, Druid 0
Components: V or S
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: self\touch
Effect: Modify the taste of one meal
Duration: 1hr/level
Saving Throw: Fortitude negates (harmless)
Spell Resistance: yes

This cantrip changes the taste of one meal to that of fresh bread (or similar simple cooking). No matter how bad the cooking is or whatever its taste, the caster will perceive a warm buttery comfort food. It has no affect on the nutritional or health benefits of the food consumed. It grants no special saves against poisons or possible negative affects.
There are different versions of this spell designed to be easily concealed from the cook.

You do realize that Mind Blank is a 8th level spell, right? This spell would be strong as a 2nd level spell, much less a zero level spell.

I understood the OP as trying to make a weaker version of Protection from Evil.

There has been some discussion that PoE is overpowered for a first level spell because it creates an absolute effect, and that it should be changed to give say a +10 bonus to saves against such spells. If you think about it, why should a 1st level spell perfectly protect against a compulsion from the Goddess of Charming, for example. Again, Mind Blank is an 8th level spell and not just because it lasts all day I would think.
