Wait - Wizards and Sorcerers can heal themselves with their own spells now? Huh.
Eh, not that strange. Life Transference was in Xanathar's, and Wither and Bloom was in Strixhaven. The running theme with Sorcerer/Wizard healing is that it takes some sort of "life force" to be sacrificed in exchange for healing, in comparison to divine healing spells that are less limited. Arcane Vigor seems like an interesting, albeit situational, spell.

Wait... were you talking about Tasha's Bubbling Cauldron or Arcane Vigor with this question? Our wires might have been crossed.

Arcane Vigor is sorc / wiz. TBC is warlock / wiz. Sorry if I got confused for a moment.
Ha, that explains it. Yes, Arcane Vigor is what we were talking about.

I do like that spell. They're doing a lot with hit dice now in 5.24e, and I wish they'd done even more. I am hoping for magic items that restore hit dice.

One fun trick with Arcane Vigor is that it triggers the ability on Bloodwell Vial (because you're spending hitdice to heal) so a Sorcerer can cast this spell to recover Sorcery Points. Once per day, but still ...

I know Sorcererous Burst and Starry Wisp aren't the best cantrips, but I really like what they add to their respective casting classes.

I really like divine smite being a spell, but I didn’t vote for it because it isn’t really a “new spell” in my opinion, just a new formatting of an existing feature. Similarly, Elementalism is cool, but it’s basically a repackaging of the old elemental cantrips. So, I voted for Arcane Vigor, Sorcerous Burst, and Tasha’s Bubbling Cauldron.

Getting lost in fantasy maps
At first I was underwhelmed with Jallarzi’s Storm of Radiance, but it’s growing on me. A celestial warlock would get another +5 damage to one target which is modest, but because it persists for up to a minute with concentration, if well placed, a mobile warlock could repelling blast targets back into the area for repeat damage.

Currently playing a warlock with the jump invocation and I’ve had a lot of utility getting 50’ move (including that bonus action extra 30’ jump) and repelling blast to enemies through our ranger’s spike growth of wizards’ damaging wall of …, so having a persisting source of automatic blind/deaf plus 4d10+5 on the board to bounce targets into seems possibly a compelling option to the 20’ one-time synaptic static’s 8d8.

That is a potent combo. I don't know if Bloodwell Vial will exist, or work that way, in 5.24e, but if it does that's a pretty wicked combo indeed.

I think the only one of those spells I'd even look twice at before completely dismissing would be Yolande's* Regal Presence, as a lower-level spell with the damage element removed that merely made its victims - friend and foe alike! - bow and cursty and kneel and grovel to the caster instead of whatever else they were going to be doing.

* - who's Yolande, anyway? Or Jallarzi, for that matter.

Yeah, that was totally my bad. Sorry about that.
