[Contest] Site redesign contest

Re: Re: Time

I have about 5 entries, and every one of them said "I can do better with more time". So I'm extending this by one week.

----------

1) What max resolution are you aiming for? Can I assume users to have 800x600?

2) You may want to extend it for 2 weeks. The WOTC campaign Setting submission deadline is next friday. Might keep some web designers busy.

For some reason I doubt that the greater majority of folks that frequent EN World use 800x600. That is kind of low if you have any sort of video card or good monitor at all.

sorry, I hate to rant on this, but I can't believe some people are complaining. IF ya can't do it, don't do it. I don;t like how people feel if you aren't setting thing up JUST for them, you are somehow cheating them. Give me a break. It's a cool idea morrus and I hope you get some good designs.

I sent in my entry on thursday, I think, and I don't plan to change much until deadline day. Either it's good enough, or it isn't...

1 Week is plenty of time in my opinion.

All he asked for was a redesign of the mainpage. That's not a whole lot to ask. My version took about 1 and a half to 2 hours and most of it was on paper deciding where to put various menu listings.

With the extension, I may submit another look (maybe two).

I've narrowed it down to two - one from Psionicist and one from James of RPGHost/Shop/Now.etc.

I prefer James' design, but it looks like the drop down menu system he's used requires a license for use, which probably rules it out. But I'll investigate a little further before makng a final decision.

The prize - a selection of $50 worth of stuff from the EN World online RPG shop. The winner will be able to choose anything up to $50 worth, but it must come from this shop so that I can easily order it for you.

Under the circumstances it would hardly do to cheer for James winning stuff from his own shop... ;)

Go Psionicist! :D
