Contest: Win a free D20 book!

Just a quick question: Egyptian Adventures: Hamunptra is listed among the prizes. You say it's from Green Ronin, but I haven't found any info about it. Are you allowed to tell us a little about what this book is? Sounds like part of their Mythic Vistas line, but I don't see it listed there.

Thanks.

It hasn't been mentioned on GR's own site yet, but a blurb about it appeared on Gaming Report a while back.

I can't share any info beyond what's contained in the above link, but that should be enough to give you the gist. :)

Hmmm... I'm glad that I took another look at your other modules, I really like the Hero Snare. I think I may buy it...

Not just to review, the idea of kobolds challenging a 7th-8th level party tickles my fancy. And my PCs will be hitting 7th soon. :]

Dang, no PDF Hero Snare, and I just don't have the cash for print and shipping. Some of the other modules do look interesting...

I've always loved kobolds. Not sure why. But I set out specifically to write a module that did them justice. :D

I do think it's only fair of me to point out, if you're going to go buy this, that it was written for 3.0, not 3.5. I don't think it's very difficult to convert--in fact, I'm pretty sure you can just play it as is, with nothing really being off except possibly a few skill point totals.

I don't want to talk you out of getting the module, of course, but I thought it would be inappropriate of me not to make sure you knew what you were getting.

That one's not available as PDF? Huh. I had no idea...

Dang. :(

Well, I guess I know which book you're likely to ask for if you enter the contest then. ;)

Don't worry, i don on-the-fly conversions (or lack thereof) all the time, and my players have yet to notice. they weren't too keen on 3.5 to start with.

And, as far as I can tell, Hero Snare is no longer a PDF. Searched RPGNow, googled it, no luck. But that's no problem, Shadows Under Thessalaine also appealed to me, and would fit well with the ocean going theme of my campiagn.

And if I do win, Hero Snare will tempt me, but Egyptian Adventures: Hamunptra looks too good to pass up. IF I win.

Heh, of course, you don't technically need to own or even read the book to review it. If you read the ones at Amazon.com or for Gamestop, products often have dozens of reviews, despite not being out yet.

Though would make it very difficult to win, I think.

"The Hero Snare is about a magical drum played by heroes"

Naw, I picked up Shadows Under Thessalaine. I've read about a 3rd of it, and I think I have some good comments.

But I do like the idea of a Hero Snare. Appeals to the band geek in me.

My understanding is that MonkeyGod is planning to eventually have all their modules available as PDFs. But it's going to be quite some time until they can get to it, due to other, more pressing issues.
