No info on it? Do you want a cool (like 'faerun' is), scientificy related to it, or cheesey like Terran or Aquan?

Ou of the blue I would say Iperia sounds good.

Do you want a name that sounds close to Europe (like Æropa, or Oyropa or something like that) or something that evokes an European feel without looking like a wordplay?

You can always use Niceye. :D

Caliopae (KAL EE O PAY)

No real reason. First thing that popped into my head when I read your thread title, so I'm throwin' it out there. :)

You could try to go the mythological route (Europa is the name of a woman loved by Zeus in Greek myth) or try a linguistic route. Pick a language, ancient or modern, and create a name with some meaning. (Most names have meaning, even if they are often forgotten.)

This was the route I took in developing my Earth-like campaign (link's in the sig). Europa kept it simple, and seemed to fit best with the naming styles used for the various nations (i.e. Gallia, Caledonia, Hybernia, Cymru, Albion, etc.)

1st - I am looking for something that evokes the feel without wordplay. That said, a good word play might work.

2nd - Thea is a really good example of what I am looking for but just can't seem to find. :) If only Thea was 600 years younger. ;)

3rd - Historical names don't really work for me but names bastardized off of historical names might work.

4th - Thanks for the suggestions so far.

IMC the quasi-western Europe was a large Island called Cruithne (apparently a Pict/Celt name for Caledonia) Cruithne had major areas (Countries and regions) called Alba, Cymru, the Tays (a river flood plan), the Fens, Thule and Nemed.
