diaglo said:there is a list of conventions on the WotC site: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=welcome/conventions
doesn't look like any of them in your neck of the woods tho.
That list only gives the really big ones. Of course, your area isn't likely to *have* a big RPG convention...I imagine it's gorgeous country, but the big cities in your area are only 10-20,000 people.
Still, there might be some smaller conventions or gatherings in your region.
You might want to check the RPGA Events Calendar:
http://events.wizards.com/rpgaweb/external/calendar.asp
It shows *every* convention, game day, or retail event that's signed up to run RPGA modules...filter on Oregon, and you should get a manageable list.
There's a few downsides to this, of course:
1) It *only* lists events that are running RPGA modules.
2) A lot of events only show up on this calendar a few weeks before they're run.
3) This'll show conventions...but it'll also show much smaller gatherings, which might only be running a game or two.
Edit: Look what I found on the RPGA event calendar:
http://events.wizards.com/rpgaweb/external/caldetl.asp?ID=REV605OR
Looks to be a small convention in Pendleton. Is "The Dungeon" a game store there?
