Pathfinder 1E Converting a Paizo AP to Eberron: Which?

MjTot

First Post
Hi! I'm about to start a new campaign, and I would really like to try one of the famous Paizo Adventure Paths. Thing is, I would also like to convert it to my favorite 3.5 setting, Eberron. So I come to you in look for advice: Which of the Paizo Adventure Paths would you recommend me to try these experiment?

The only AP that cannot be is Age Of Worms, as I am currently a player on that campaign.

Thanks!

The current AP out now Serpent's Skull seems like it would fit great You'd have characters racing to uncover ancient ruins in Xendrik.

Kingmaker is possible though it might be harder to do. There's a helpful thread in the Kingmaker forum at paizo that talks about where to place the campaign in Eberron.

I have read very little about this AP, but sounds interesting. Do you have a link to that thread? I searched through the messageboard but found only one about Greyhawk, not Eberron...

I think any number of them could be dropped into Eberron without a huge ordeal. What type of AP would you like to run? Some of the APs are a little more linear in fashion, while something like Kingmaker is more sandboxy (though still a very good AP).

You might want to consider what type of AP you want to run though to help narrow down what might work well. I suspect a lot of the AP forums on Paizo have at least one thread on dropping the AP of choice into Eberron.

The people I am going to run this AP are mostly newbies, so I think something linear and classical would be best. Think something along the lines of Age of Worms (as a player, I'm loving that AP).

I'd agree with Serpent's Skull. I expect it to go into gorilla men, pirates, and serpentfolk but the ruins in the jungle sounds perfect for Xendrik.

Hmm, Second Darkness deals with underground drow so that does not quite jibe with Eberron's jungle scorpion people.

I expect Rise of the Runelords would be easy to fit in Eberron, Sandpoint should be an easy place to put down on the edges of any kingdom really. But I hear the dark tone rises up quick in that series which might not be what you are after for a newbie group (or maybe it is exactly what you want depending on the group).

No idea off the top of my head where desert gnolls and genies fit into eberron so I would not recommend Legacy of Fire if you want minimal story element conversion.

Cheliax might work loosely as Karnath in going Paizo to Eberron for Curse of the Crimson Throne or Council of Thieves.

I think there is a bunch of open space in Eberron for throwing in Kingmaker.

Serpent's Skull is looking great, but I notice now that it is written for Pathfinder, not 3.5. Would I have to convert everything if I wanted it to work with 3.5? Which APs are specifically written for 3.5? I know the ones from Dungeon Magazine are, but what about the rest?

Thanks.

Everything before Council of Thieves was 3.5. As a GM running 3.5 adventures in Pathfinder, I find the minimal conversion I need to do is easy on the fly. Of course, I'm not one of those picky people who recrunch stat blocks and go "OMG, his hp are 3 points higher than they should be!".

I would think that finding the story and style you like is far more important than the differences between 3.5 and Pathfinder. I really liked Legacy of Fire, but I have a soft spot for Arabian themed adventures. Serpent Skull sounds interesting too though. Rise of the Runelords is the most classic AP so far though. It is out of print so harder to come by (although still available as PDFs).
