Shade
Monster Junkie
Same here, shall we leave it to "Ye Olde Shaidie One"?
Ummm, let's just go with +60 unless Shade objects, so we can potentially move along

Each creature that sees a draeden must make a Saving Throw vs. Mental Attacks. If successful, the viewer sees the draeden’s true form... which is bad enough. If the check is unsuccessful, the viewer imagines that he or she sees the biggest, deadliest, most invulnerable being ever. Immortals who fail their saving throws will see draeden as either blackballs or vast, powerful enemies from rival Spheres (usually the Sphere of Entropy). Mortals from the Prime Plane usually see them as unconquerable dragons.
Got any ideas for the appearance? It doesn't seem to do very much other than as flavor, to be honest. I suppose it could share some characteristics with frightful presence, but I'd think the natural form would have that anyway! Just can't think of much of the point of this.
Is there anything we can crib off the Epic use of Intimidation?
Guess not.SRD said:Intimidate does not possess an epic usage.
Guess not.
What if the illusory fearsome appearance acts as phantasmal killer against low enough HD victims? Then the real appearance can get something like a boosted frightful presence.
I feel like we have, but I can't quite remember where. I know we've done some sympathetic types ones, where you don't attack because the victim seems too pathetic.
Creature Catalog said:Aura of Forbidding Terror (Su)
Creature Catalog said:: A darksider constantly exudes a 60-foot-radius fear aura. Any creature that enters the area must succeed on a DC 21 Will save or flee in panic for 1d4+1 rounds. Even if they save, the creature must succeed on a DC 21 Will save in order to make an attack or cast a spell at the darksider.
This is a mind-affecting fear effect. The aura can be dispelled, but the darksider can create it again as a swift action.
I think it should. I would imagine that those beings that know of the draeden will actually see its ftrue form. After all, what could possibly be scarier than being confronted by one?Not sure if the true form should also have frightful presence after all that...
