Should we figure out Swallow Whole damage next?

Is "lots" an acceptable amount? ;)

Looking at other epic creatures with the ability...

Tarrasque: 2d8+8 points of crushing damage plus 2d8+6 points of acid damage
Gibbering Orb: 4d8 points of constriction Damage plus 3d10 points of acid
Cipactli: 2d8+8 points of crushing damage plus 4d6+4 points of acid damage

I'd think "lots and lots" would be more acceptable. :p

Those all seem way too feeble. I was thinking more 10d10+45 crushing (based on the bite damage) plus lots of acid damage (4d12? 4d20? 6d20?).

I'd prefer "more than enough" :D

I agree with Cleon that the examples are rather weak.

Although maybe this is just for the journey down the neck/tentacle. Once you get to the (unstatted) main body of the draeden the damage would shoot up.

Or as above the low damage reflects the journey down the throat - for X rounds. Once those rounds have elapsed the victims have reached the main body - instant death!!!

Isn't instant death supposed to be "badwrongfun" these days? :p

Anyhow, the original monster's swallowing does 1d10 initially, then 1d100 on each subsequent round. 1d100 is the same as the bite attack was, which supports my suggestion of duplicating our 3E version's bite damage.

Good point! I'll go along with that.

6d12 or 8d12. Just to give the d12 some use. I also think it shouldn't be possible to escape by escaping the grapple, since the swallow presumably pushes the victim a really long distance each round.
