Converting Greyhawk monsters

Imagine a fixed weight. If more of the mass goes down to the bottom, it has to be convex. But the point is that you worked out a size and weight; changing the shape of the monster shouldn't change the weight. That's all I'm saying.

Whatever you decide, it will not weigh heavily upon my mind. :p

Well, strictly speaking having its mass shift needn't alter its external shape - it could be mostly teeth at the bottom and have a lot of air-filled throats at the top...

Anyhow, it's not just shape at issue, it's more a question of size.

I'd like the thing to be at least 10 feet across to have some justification for making it Huge, and I figure 6000 pounds is a more appropriate weight for a Mouther-form creature of my proposed dimensions.

So you're just saying you changed your mind about the weight, never mind the justification. Well, 6000 lb is fine, I just didn't quite follow your logic.

Erm, I haven't change my mind since my weight estimate in post #838 - I prefer an average greater mouther 10' dia, 8-10' tall, and 6000 lbs.

If you're OK with that, it looks like we've just got flavour text left.

Something about how they are the kings of mouthers, ruling tribes of primitive humanoids deep in the jungle???
